  • Probability distributions and cumulative distribution functions
    • A function which gives the probabilities of occurence of different possible outcomes for a given experiment tested with a hypothesis.
    • A function which tells with a given percentage that X will be equal or less than the value at point F(p).
• Probability mass function
  • Probability that a discrete random variable will be exactly a given value.
• Stochastic process
  • A process that happens randomly and can be modeled by a family of random variables.  For example, the movement of gas molecules.

• Critical exponents near phase transitions: the universal behaviour of physical quantities near continuous phase transitions.
• Prosaic/transformative AI when we reach AGI
  • The idea that we’ll build an AI that doesn’t reveal anything new about humankind or the world.  Similar to the idea of transformative AI.
